Sangu Mandanna grew up in Bangalore, India. She was four years old when an elephant chased her down a forest road and she decided to write her first story about it. She now lives in Norwich with her husband and children. Sangu is the author of critically acclaimed books for children and adults, including Kiki Kallira Breaks a Kingdom and The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches.
